IMPORTANT NOTES:
Monday - picture day! 
Reading Journals - weekly journals begin this week.  Two entries due by Friday. 
Friday - Sixth Grade Spirit Day!  Sixth grade students ONLY may wear any sports team jersey...yes, that includes your own from a team you are on.  Remember to review our school dress norms to ensure you are following directions

COMING UP:  Lewis MS Book Fair - Friday 9/15 through Friday 9/22

LANGUAGE ARTS 1-2
MONDAY: Return journals, with notes; continue with article summary, section three; class time for new vocabulary packet
HOMEWORK: Journals due on Friday - 2 entries + a signature.  Vocabulary packet 1: Pages 1 & 2 due on Wed; 3 & 4 due Friday.

TUESDAY - Continue with article summary, section four and five; begin discussion and instruction on writing an opening paragraph..
HOMEWORK: Journals due on Friday - 2 entries + a signature.  Vocabulary packet 1: Pages 1 & 2 due on Wed; 3 & 4 due Friday.

MINIMUM DAY
WEDNESDAY: Review pages 1 & 2 of vocab; Continue with opening paragraph creation.
HOMEWORK: Rough draft of opening paragraph due tomorrow for editing; Pages 3 & 4 due Friday; 2 journal entries due Friday.

THURSDAY: Continue with the writing process!  Opening paragraph rough draft editing; creating first body paragraph. 
HOMEWORK: Vocabulary pages and Journal due tomorrow;  ALSO - first vocabulary quiz tomorrow.  Study!!!

FRIDAY: Vocabulary 1 quizzes and review; In-Class work as directed.
HOMEWORK: Keep track of your notes for your article writing.  You'll need all of it to succeed!

mirror mirror - teach a person how to be your mirror image, just as we did in class.  Then, play two rounds.  First, you're in charge; then they're in charge.  MUST be done either with a parent or in front of a parent.  One signature required. Due monday
